Pioneers

Pioneers is a 100% human-made 20 20-page zine describing a lightweight system for use in science fiction RPGs, with a focus on exploration and problem-solving.

Players take the role of Pioneers: unique explorers of the Cosmos of varying Cultures and Castes. Many are Human, but many too are exotic and unique; the synthetic Humanites and reptilian Dy-Coracn, for example, from planets terraformed or desolate. 



As Pioneers explore planets, they will be met with adversaries: those who seek to do them harm and the inscrutable natures of the planets themselves. As scouts and surveyors, many will not have lethal weaponry: to even the most lunatic Pioneer, killing their way out of problems is not an option readily available.

-Simplistic rules for generating Planets and a procedure for planetary exploration.
